Music is always a passion for most of the people. Shreya Ghoshal, one among the prominent play back singer of the music industry has won 4 National Film Awards and 5 Film Fare Awards. Shreya Ghoshal started her career by winning Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contest.

Shreya started Bollywood career by singing her first song in Devdas which won her Filmfare Award for best female play back singer and the Filmfare R D Burman award for the New Music Talent. Also several awards from the Northern and the Southern film industry were waiting for her. She has worked with many prominent music directors - Ilayaraja, A.R. Rahman, Anu Malik, Himesh Reshammiya, Mani Sharma, M.M. Keeravani, Nadeem Sharvan, Anand-Milind, Shantanu Mitra, Shankar-Ehsan-Loy, Pritam, Vishal-Shekar, Hamasalekha, Mano Murthy, Gurukiran, Harikrishna, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Harris Jayaraj and the list goes on.

Shreya Ghoshal was born to a Bengali Hindu family in Durgapur, West Bengal. Even though born in Durgapur later their family shifted to Rawabhata, a small town near Kota, Rajasthan. Her father is a nuclear power plant engineer in Bhabha Atomic Research Center. Her mother is a post graduate literature student. Shreya started accompanying her mother on harmonium from the age of 4. Her studies were completed at Atomic Energy Central Schools (AECS) Rawabhata and Anushaktinagar (Mumbai).

Her favorite music groups are Backstreet Boys, Boyzone, and Dream Theater and loves Symphony and instrumental in western music. Indian music is her soul. Shreya Ghoshal is the only singer in the film industry to get four National awards at the age of 26.

DAM999 added a new feather to her achievements. This is her first Hollywood project and she is excited in singing for the same. The movie comes to the audience with four songs sung by very prominent singers of the film industry.
